Loved it from start to finish. Victor was great I knew I was going to like him from the second page. Cara was also great. I absolutely loved Isaac and the way the author used toddler speak for him so many authors use adult speech for kids. I busted out laughing when he called Victor Big Toe the first time. What I liked most about Victor was that he wasn't petty or arrogant he wasn't ashamed of where he came from and he went after what he wanted. I thought it flowed really well I was never bored and have no unanswered questions and can't wait for the next Barboza brother.

I agree with the reviews that say this is like an unrealistic Lifetime or Hallmark movie. I love those!  It's called "fiction," people!! This book was a fun escape for an afternoon and I can't wait for the next two in the series.

I enjoyed this book - BUT - the way it was formatted drove me absolutely bat@@@@ crazy. Sentences starting on one line and ending on the other, it was like a new paragraph was starting in the middle of a sentence. It was torture to read it. Thank goodness it was free. In order to get around the weird formatting, I tried changing the font size, restarting the Nook, tilting it sideways, all to no avail. I don't know if this formatting was intentional or not, but please, please if the author or editor is reading this review, please don't do it again.

    Lighthearted read

I liked it because it was emotional but not one of those that has me crying. Nice storyline, although I thought the secret if Isaac's paternity was not a big deal. Look forward to the next.

five pages in and can't continue

Sentances are broken up into separate paragraghs. Too distracting to read due to formating.

Yes, this ebook was free but it was tough to get through. Normal

Yes, this ebook was free but it was tough to get through. Normally you hope for an HEA (happily ever after) with couples but this pair had zero attraction. Single mother Cara Green, with low self-esteem, is the object of desire to go-getter, uber confident Victor Barboza. What was the attraction for Victor? Only Victor and the author know the answer! The love scenes lacked romance and eroticism. You get the impression that the sex between these two really was done within minutes! Oh the horror!

    Intolerable formatting

Ms. Austin, preview your upload before making it public. The story may be good, but if the formatting is so awful that the reader puts it down in disgust, like me, then how can you gain readership? This should not have been released until the aberrant formatting was fixed.

Not impressed with the text or paragraphs aligned.

Difficult to read. Scattered texts. Paragraphs are off. Could not finish this book. Fix the paragraphs...make them "normal" so I can read them without getting a headache.

    Good thing it was free....

As others have mentioned, the formatting is extremely distracting. I also didn't really feel any chemistry between the main characters.

    Great story

I'm giving this a 3 because of the formatting. You think a new paragraph is starting but its only the end of sentence. Also some of the setences just stopped. Your like - what just happened? Then a new chapter starts. So you don't know how much you missed. I LOVE Victor. Isaac is adorable. Can't wait for bk 3. Cara being so down on herself & doubting him got old. Quick read. Good romance. It was free but I loved the character development I will buy book 2.
