Even though I like to read, I don't do it as often as I would like. Mike Warnke's latest work was a great return to writing for him, and to reading for me. "Friendly Fire" is a well thought-out scriptually based application for when on is wronged by organized religion. Although a subject considered taboo by some, Mike enters this arena with amazing clarity and a God-given gift of vivid word pictures. Undoutedly, "Friendly Fire" was written either through reasons of personal therapy, or from lessons learned. In either case, this is an excellent work of total forgiveness.
This book, this man's words, are God inspired. He takes a brutal subject and let's one see that things can get better, that restoration can come even though the journey will be difficult and painful. Through these pages, I've realized that through the actions and comments of "fellow believers" and my own mistakes, I've driven myself from Jesus, an action that I'm going to correct ASAP! Thank you, Mr. Warnke, for helping me see the light.
