My daughter has been reading this series and she really enjoys it. When I asked for her review she feft it was best for girls maybe 11-12 because of some of the topics in the story.

I was disappointed that on the back of this book it was noted by Harper that it was for ages 8-12 because I don't think that the material in this book is age appropriate. When my eight year old came to me with questions about getting her period, I was taken off guard. There is a chapter in the book about the main character getting her first period. I would have preferred for my daughter to learn about this from me, rather than a book. I think 8 is a bit early for this. I am disappointed in Harper.
