***I Reviewed this as part of the Trilogy Friends and Lovers***
It is no secret I am a HUGE Bethany Lopez fan! Here is a review of Nissa and though I haven’t reviewed her other books, I have read and loved them! So, I JUMPED at the chance to review this series. I stared reading the first book and, duh! I’d already read Make It Last. I searched the blog and hadn’t done a review. So I skipped to I Choose You. Yep, I’d read that one too… I searched the blog and had reviewed that one, but won’t link it because it was a really bad review from when I first started reviewing.
ANYWAY! Moving on. The characters that Bethany Lopez creates are so real. I seriously want to move in with them and have a beer and be part of their circle. I’m pretty sure I can convince her to write me in. I think I would fit in perfectly with their circle. She can even write me a perfect boyfriend. I want him to have Rich’s body, with Colin’s face and Kent’s personality! Simple, right? My favorite of the series is by far Make it Last. I adored Briana and Colin and their relationship obviously was meant to last. I didn’t love Kent, but I think he and Nicole are good together, so it all works out. Rich and Roni are two of my favorite characters! They are the characters from Trust in Me. I love the relationship that they have. It is something that they build because of Roni’s past.
All and all, I couldn’t put these books down reading them, and I just loved this series! I am always ready to dive into whatever Bethany Lopez has written next!

The following is a review for each of the three stories in this collection.
Make It Last
This second chance romance is the story of Briana and Colin. Colin broke things off with Briana when he went off to college, figuring that maintaining a long distance relationship would be too difficult. But now he's back in town and wants Briana to give him a second chance. Can she forgive him and trust him again?
I really enjoyed this story! It had a very realistic feel to it with respect to the situations and emotions experienced by young adults as they navigate the college/work world. All the characters were interesting and diverse. I liked that Colin realized he had made a mistake in breaking things off with Briana and was willing to put in the time and effort for her to learn to trust him again. The sexual tension between them was well written and led to some steamy love scenes. There were several secondary characters introduced that will get their own stories and I look forward to reading them all! 4 stars.
I Choose You
This new adult romance is the story of Nicole and Kent. Both have left toxic family environments and ended up in the same small town, where Kent is working for a newspaper and Nicole works at a bar and continues her main love of writing on the side. Kent is a bit of a playboy, never committing to one woman after seeing the mess of his parent's marriage while Nicole is the type of woman who is only interested in a serious partner. Can these two opposites find a future together?
I really enjoyed this story! Having read the first book in the series the characters of Nicole and Kent had been introduced and I had been looking forward to seeing where this story would take them. I found Kent to be a very likeable man, very protective of his younger sister, a mature individual. He's always been up front with the women he's been with that he isn't interested in anything long term. But with Nicole he finds that he enjoys just being with her and the more time they spend together, the more he gets attached. Nicole was also a very engaging character. I particularly liked that she stuck to her own ethical decision to save her virginity for marriage and that Kent didn't try to dissuade her from her convictions. I thought this was a very realistic take on a sexual relationship between two young adults, that there can be "fooling around" without going "all the way". There are some sexy scenes between them but they are limited in term of what is comfortable for Nicole. The secondary characters play an important role in the story, friends and family of Nicole and Kent, adding some fun camaraderie as well as some tension to the plot. Overall this was a quick and entertaining read with believable characters and a sweet romance. 5 stars!
Trust In Me
I loved this third story in the Friends and Lovers trilogy (can be read as a standalone, though characters have been previously introduced in the series). Roni is recovering from an abusive homelife and marriage and sees Rich for the playboy type that he is. But Rich has a more serious side to him, and now that he has the chance to be with Roni, he's willing to do what it takes to show her that he's worthy of her time and attention. Though their relationship starts out backwards with a one night fling that Roni insists will not become anything serious, the more time they spend together reveals to her that Rich is really the nice guy that he seems to be - caring, friendly and supportive. The love scenes between them are steamy and well written. Secondary characters, friends and family of Rich and Roni play an important role in the story and the development of their relationship. It was a pleasure to see them get their act together and for Roni to get the man that she deserves and her happy ending. 5 stars!
At the end of this collection there is also a short epilogue written for each of the couples whose stories are featured here. I thought this was a lovely touch to tie up the series.

Love this trilogy! It was a very short read, which is not a complaint, I just want more! I finished all three books over the couruse of a day. I did enjoy the extra bonus stories with each couple because I found myself at the end of each story saying "What?!?!? Its over already!!!" It was a very enjoyable set and I would reccomend these to any reader!!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Did I enjoy this book: I did enjoy this book. The stories are quick, sweet reads that kept me entertained.
Make it Last introduces us to the friends and lovers of this trilogy. It centers on Briana and Colin, her high school boyfriend that broke her heart a few years ago. I thought Briana was holding a bit too much of a grudge against Colin. However, the story was sweet and you receive just enough information about each character to become one of theirs friends and to care about the characters. Could there be more to this story? Yes. Did the last story line resolve itself rather quickly? Yes. Did I mind these things? No.
I Choose You is about Nicole and Kent. Both of these characters have a past that they aren't willing to share easily or with anyone outside a select few. I really like Nicole. She is strong and independent yet vulnerable and sweet.
Trust in Me is about Roni and Rich. This was my favorite of all the three. They work so well together.
In each story, we get to know the couples as the stories progress. Each character has a past, something to overcome, something that will make the reader care about them. Friends & Lovers is sweet and romantic.
One drawback for me was the amount of mistakes in this book. I received my copy from Smashwords. In my opinion, there were too many errors for a book that is being sold. The mistakes didn't make me want to stop reading, but they were noticeable and, at times, distracting.
Would I recommend it: I would recommend this book to anyone who likes quick, romantic stories that leave you with a smile.
Will I read it again: I will not.
(I received a copy of this book for review purposes.)
