Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
If you like board books that are a bit outre, then this series, "Eyeball Animation" books, may appeal. Two large eyeballs protrude from the front cover in the face of an ostrich, and these same eyeballs peer out at the reader from the back cover which features a flamingo. The story is not too complicated; a creature discovers a fancy father and believes that it is his duty to try and return it to its owner. As he searches, kids meet a variety of birds—toucan, vulture, myna, penguin, owl and a very strange looking Red-bearded Bee eater. The search comes to an end when the unnamed bird (peacock) decides to make a gift of the feather to the creature who has spent so much time trying to return it to its owner.

    Awesome Book

I bought this book for my son when he was little and we spent many nights reading it over and over. His face would always light up as pulled it off the bookshelf and crawled into my lap. I came across this book over the weekend and tried to give away. My little boy, now 14 yrs old, was heartbroken that would I even consider getting rid of this book! All the others could go but this book had to stay. Any book that leaves that kind of an impression is priceless.
