Toad and Frog are classic children's story characters. They have been favorites for many years. If you are not familiar, they are a must for your children and grandchildren. They are delightful and teach about caring for each other. This particular edition, I enjoyed because of the picture book size. There is plenty of white space on each page for beginning readers and enough print to give them a challenge and a sense of accomplishment. A great format for this classic.

Frog and Toad Are Friends is a delightful book full of lessons on friendship for children. My favorite story is 'A Swim' where Frog and Toad are going to take a swim in the river, but first Toad has to put on his swimsuit. During this event, Toad tell Frog not to look, because he 'looks funny' in his swimsuit. Frog, being a good friend, agrees not to look. However, a snake, a mouse, dragonflies, a turtle, and some lizards are not so nice-they will not leave until Toad comes out of the river and they can see him. 'Go away!' Frog shouts several times, but it doesn't work, and eventually Toad has to come out of the river. This is an excellent book, and the illustrations are very nice, it is a Level 2 book for grades 1 through 3. Lobel,Arthur. Frog and Toad Are Friends. New York: Harper Collins, 1970.

Frog and Toad are Friends received the Newberry Honor. This book would be great for ages 4-8. Frog and Toad are best of friends. They do everything together. Frog didn¿t feel so good. Toad said, ¿You are looking quite green.¿ Toad goes to take care of his best friend until he gets to feeling better. Read Frog and Toad are Friends to find out what Frog and Toad do together. This book is a fantasy book. I haven¿t seen very many frogs and toads talking to each other. I really enjoyed this book. It teaches a lot about friendship. Arnold Lobel is the author of the book. Lobel has wrote and illustrated over 70 books for children. Mr. Lobel¿s wife, Anita, is also a children¿s author and illustrator. Lobel, Arnold. Frog and Toad are Friends. New York: Harper Collins, 1979.

It encourages my son to move onto a new page. A perfect way to get use to chapter books. He finds the stories fun and funny, this helps him to keep his interest in the book. The series are also used in school. Which keeps him ahead of the rest of the class.

I read the book Frog and Toad Are Friends. It is 300% funny. The book is about Frog and Toad becoming friends. It was funny when Frog and Toad were sick in bed. Toad stood on his head to tell frog a story. Toad was banging his head on the wall to try to think of a story. People were laughing at Toad's bathing suit when they were in the pool. After reading this book you will want to be good friends like Frog and Toad. It is great to have good friends!

This is a combination of 4 stories about two friends (Frog and Toad). My 5 year old loves the the fun stories because they are simple enough for her to understand, enjoy and read along sometimes. The length of the stories are just right and are good for bedtime. I like that it is available in hardcover - a great addition to her library.

A wonderful, classic book. This is a great price. You will love this book. It appeals to little ones, and older ones, as well. A huge hit it was as a gift. This has a number of stories within this book! A++++ Research for yourself Mr. Lobel's other books. You will not be disappointed.

My son will be 4 years old in 2 months and he has been with I Can Read for long time. He is such a fast reader and can pick up idea so quick so I have the feeling of being kicked axx by him to keep buying new books for him all the time. Before knowing Frog & Toad, he had finished sam the seal, morris the mousse, mouse tales/soup, zack's alligator, big maxx, little pig.....I had seen F&T many times in the books store but never picked it until one day my son dragged me to B&N again and I asked myself: what else should I get this time? Now I have to admit, Frog & Toad did not impress me at the first place b/c they were not attractive/cute characters to me until I started to read it with my son....

The stories are so good. To a 35-year-old dad, the stories make bigger sense and at the samer time, even easier for kids to understand. Every story teaches something. Now my son has repeat reading it for more than 20 times I guess but he is still loving it.

If you are choosing books for you kids and not sure where to go, I would simply recommend all Arnold Lobel books. I have a feeling my son would tell you the same thing.
