Meet the Author

From an undisclosed source who prefers to remain anonymous:G. David Walker was unexpectedly born in the summer of 1963, the obvious result of alien visitation, as his mother had been told she was unable to have any more children a decade prior to his arrival. This conclusion was only reinforced by David’s obsession with Star Trek and The Monkees, nights spent staring at the stars overhead, and uncountable hours reading science fiction and fantasy while other children were outside playing tag and running into trees. (Actually, it was David who ran into the tree, but that’s another story.)Fortunately, David outgrew these tendencies…Well, no. No, he didn'tHe is still obsessed with Star Trek (and Star Gate, Star Wars, Jefferson Starship, star fruit, Dancing with the Stars, wait, what? Scratch that last one.), still enjoys staring into the night sky, and still reads science fiction and fantasy books and stories at every opportunity. Happily, we can report that there have been no reported incidents of him running into any trees lately (at least none that we’re aware of). When he’s not trying to avoid trees, David writes fantasy and science fiction novels and stories, some of which may or may not be based upon odd memories...err...thoughts that pop up at irregular intervals throughout his day.David is a member of the Missouri Writers Guild, and currently lives in southwest Missouri with his wife and children, and whatever stray animals his children happen to bring home.

    Thrilling sci-fi / fantasy story!

I must admit, I was a bit skeptical about reading another indie fantasy book, especially after having just written one myself. But I must admit that this author did a tremendous job. Almost got my tail in hot water as I started to scowl at my wife at being interrupted. This story is about a kid taking a vacation with his family in Scotland. Jason goes exploring, finds the ruins of a house and discovers himself instantly transported to the world of Teleria, where he may or may not play a part in deciding the outcome of this foreign world. Is he part of this prophecy? Does some unknown power lie hidden within him? Can he stay alive long enough to battle the hordes of strange crossbreeds? (For the record, the Manarachs sounds particularly nasty - described in enough detail warrant a wide berth if encountered!) Bickering supreme beings, manipulative psychos, nasty henchmen, and invisible warriors. What more could any sci-fi/fantasy fan want? I eagerly look forward to book 2!

    Couldn't put it down!!!!

I'm personally not much of a Sci-fi reader, but this book was so much more than that! The depth of the characters and the detail in which the world is described makes you feel like you're also in Teleria. There were so many twists and turns I couldn't put the book down. I'm impatiently awaiting book 2!!!! I would recommend this book not only to teen readers (since the main character, Jason is 17/18), but also to adults who enjoy the exploring the complexity of personal relationships between our fellow man (or Dokal, Shanthi, or Ferrin, as the case may be). :)

    Great!!

This was enjoyable to read and the story was well put. This is a story about a battle, though, so of course there's dying in it. Still i enjoyed it!

Well worth the read! Great book!

Great story line, engaging characters, and intriguing inhabitants of Teleria. As I read I found myself on the journey with the main character, Jason. I was reluctant to put it down once I started reading. This is a book I will revisit often. I am very much looking forward to the next book in the series and to more from this author. I highly recommend this book to everyone and especially to those who enjoy sci-fi/fantasy.
