This book is it! Very encouraging and refreshing. A must for all women. Patti really digs in and tells the true-life stories of women left behind on the home front while their soldier is serving in the military.

This is an amazing book! As the Wife of a Soldier serving Overseas, I believe this book uncovers the reality of the proud Military Wifes. I hear a lot the arguments of Military Wifes against Military Girlfriends about who suffers more and this book really gives these girls a good example of why us WIFES and MOTHERS really have the HARDEST job. It is pathethic to see girlsfriends of soldiers constantly crying and whinning, GET A LIFE GIRLS......Look at us MOTHERS AND WIFES being the ROCK and just realize that others are in a worse situation. Thank you Patti!

A very important book at this time in our nation's history, Patti Correa provides a compelling look into the lives of the women left behind on the home front. You will fly through the pages and be left wanting more. This author has certainly captured the spirit of the 'rock' of the military family and provided a valuable resource to those 'pebbles' that are currently facing similar challenges.

It's about time for this kind of book. This book is wonderful, a true inspiration. As a military spouse the road is not always easy. This book offers encouragement through other women as they stay behind and keep the home front going. It is filled stories of strength, hope and love for the good ole USA.

Patti did a great job in compiling stories from all walks of life and to bring out through them the strength that these military spouses have demonstrated throughout their trials during their military life. One of the hardest thing as a new spouse is to realize that ¿we¿ will always come second and his ¿job¿ will always come first. The title of this book is so descriptive of how a new spouse develops over the years. It was over 18 years ago that I was a little pebble but throughout the years I became the rock in my family. During these times of constant deployments this book will be an inspiration to new spouses and hopefully will help them become the rock in their family.

This is a beautiful book and it's time has come! Women everywhere should buy this book! Patti Correa's sensitivities, personal experiences, and desire to provide healing and understanding burst through each page like the sun's rays through grey clouds after a hard winter. One of the toughest demands of military life is being the wife, mother, sister, or daughter left behind on the homefront while their men are away at war. Patti brings to us all stories that will uplift, inspire, and remind us that, like those who have gone before us, we, too will survive long separations, anxieties, and yes, even the joys or reuniting upon our serviceman's return! Great job, Patti, and thank you!
