Overview

Far in the future, the Earth is surrounded by a half-mile thick layer of space junk, some of it trash, some of it giant advertising billboards, some of it space-winni vacationers. But Priest, a sexist narcotics detective for The Authority is more interested in the terrorist group whose strange new weapon took a pot shot at his city and atomized everything inside its target area—including his arm.
Priest finds himself partnered with the tough and sexy Rehna, a fellow Authority officer, and Gawyn, a brilliant little girl whose gruff attitude matches Priest’s. The three of them track down the terrorists, and their weapon, while Priest looks to deliver his unique brand of justice and get compensation for not one, but two ruined Tac-suits.
FROM ABOVE is a 7500 words novella also published in Jeremy Robinson’s short story collection, INSOMNIA. This solo release also contains samples of Robinson’s books, CALLSIGN: KING and THE LAST HUNTER – DESCENT.

This is the first novella I have read from Jeremy, and his action-packed writing never fails to delight. The only downside to this story is: It will leave you wanting more.

I know it was a novella, but once again a page turner. Dissapointed when the story was over. I want more. His writing is addicting. He always leaves me needing more.

Fun read, kind of reminded me of "Blade Runner". I was sorry that it ended, I wanted to see how things on Earth resolved themselves.

A great sci-fi novella with tones of noir. Of course any story by Robinson has action and worldwide stakes. A great, fun, little tale.

I really enjoyed reading this, the first person narrative was different and the characters were entertaining. It's a quick read but fun.
