He saw his first Albion match in 1940 and has witnessed over 2,000 more since in almost three quarters of a century of support.His devotion has been recognised with awards from the Premier League, Sunday Mercury and the Express & Star. Enhanced by over a decade as co-editor of Grorty Dick fanzine, his opinion has long been regularly sought by the local media and more latterly by the football club themselves.
