Meet the Author

Michael W. Kirst is professor of education and businessadministration at Stanford University. He is a prolific author andthe co-director of Policy Analysis for California Education, aCalifornia state education policy research group funded by theHewlett Foundation. He is a member of the management and researchstaff of the Consortium for Policy Research in Education.
Andrea Venezia is Senior Policy Consultant and Project Director atthe National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education. Priorto joining the National Center, she directed K—16 projects inthe Stanford Institute for Higher Education, including the BridgeProject.
