From Islam To Secular Humanism by Khalid Sohail is a frank and honest autobiography. It is written in reader's friendly language. I have read many autobiographies in Urdu. All of them were utterly disappointing. Our culture does not nurture the frankness of an autobiography. Sohail's book is an exception. He must be commended. Sohail is never disrespectful towards the religion he abandoned. I wish the writer had accorded more space to Krishnamurti and his teachings of universal brotherhood. Dr. S. M . S.
