    Heartwrenching but very helpful!

My heart goes out to Brenda, Dave, Michael and Kate. I recently lost my husband and my daughter gave me the book to read. It helped me so much to know that the feelings that I have had many months after his death are normal and that I am okay for not being 'over' it. Brenda has put into words so many of the emotions that are with anyone who has a devastating loss of a loved one. I am going to buy extra copies to have for others and to give to my mother-in-law so that it may help her deal with the loss of her son.

    A book of healing

This is a great book for anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one or is experienceing emotional pain or grief for other reasons. The excercises Brenda recommends will help the reader begin to cope with their loss and grief. It is a book also to be read if you know someone who has experienced the death of a loved one-especially a child. It will help you know what to say and do as well as what not to say or do.

This book really tugs at your heart!

This is a wonderful book that takes a look at the obstacles faced with losing a child at a young age. Brenda gives you an in depth look at her emotions, thoughts, dreams, and daily struggles she faces after the death of Joby. The way that Joby's friends coped with the death of their good friend is also portrayed in this book. I couldn't finish the book in one day because it was too painful to read the entire book all at once. Thankfully, at the end Brenda tells you that things do get better and you somehow begin to adjust.
