Good story but the theology is troubling. God gave all humanity a free will. He does not plan everyone's life from birth to death. He waits for us patiently, and He cries with us when we are hurting, but He doesn't orchestrate our lives. Everyone will have God-incidences in their life when He knocks on the door of our hearts, but we still have a free will to accept or reject His love.

I love what this author writes and can't wait to read them. I feel such tremendous rapport with her characters, even when their experiences are not mine. I've never been an orphan and I know I am of my family and we don't have tremendous secrets hidden in our past. Yet through Ms. Warren's writing I got to experience all that along with her characters. And remember again how much God loves me.

This was a surprising find in the free books section, and one I'm really grateful now that I know of this author. The book was fun, suspenseful, cute, and interesting. I really enjoyed the book and the powerful themes of redemption and hope throughout it. For the most part I thought the book was clear of many cliches and the romance was sweet and clean. Kat resonated well with me in her quest for answers and struggle to find her own identity. There were a few grey areas I was a little lost in, but for the most part the action was exciting and the mystery smooth. I was never tempted to put the book down. It was fun learning about Russia and its culture outside of any sort of movie or cold war study--this book really piqued my interest to learn further about Russia. I've enjoyed every book by this author so far, and would most definitely recommend this one!
