Mennonite Church.
Becky is adept at portraying embarrassing and difficult experiences with humor. You will be laughing out loud as she colorfully tells her story.

I sat in a doctor’s waiting room a few years ago pretending to not notice the man who was staring at me from across the room. It was one of those years when “Amish” novels were hot sellers, so I had a pretty good guess as to
what he was thinking.——“Ma’am?” he asked when I finally looked over at him and smiled.
“Ma’am, do you know what college is?”
It was hard not to let out a giggle. “Yes. I’ve been to college.” He looked surprised.
“Do you know what biology is?” I suppressed another giggle and answered, “Yes, I had to study a bit of biology to get my degree in Chemistry Education.”
The poor fellow looked like I had just told him that they were selling babies, two for a dollar, at the local hardware store.
We spent the rest of a good hour talking together about biology and poetry and the incredible beauty of the Psalms. And I don’t doubt that by the time we parted my new friend had laid to rest some of the common
misconceptions he had picked up about just who Mennonites really are.

Meet the Author

Bernadette (Becky) Noonan was born to Irish parents in Buffalo, New York. She received her elementary and secondary education in the public schools of the city. Becky received her BA degree in Chemistry Education
from Canisius College of Buffalo, a Jesuit college.
She married Joseph McGurrin and together they have raised four children.
She is presently writing curriculum for Christian Light Publications in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
This is Becky’s first book.

    how does an Irish Catholic Family end up as Mennonites? Not a question many folks would ever think to ask. But here is a book that answers that question in a most beautiful, simple fashion. It provides an insight into the Mennonite church from both an insider's and outsiders perspective. Fascinating and fun to read, it is a good chance to ponder the questions for your self "What do I believe and why"? We all can gain something important by taking time to do just that every few years. I think you will enjoy following this family as they travel down a path very little traveled by most.

    Welcome to starlight apartment! Here everyone has their own space and room. Where you can invite people to come to your res. Whatever. Its a good place to chat and meet new people and meet new friends! You can have boyfriends girlfriends room mates whatever! Just kick back and enjoy! Now here is just info. But here is a few things you need to know. Im Mariah! In room A1. Whenever you post say your name then your room. The room number ( on mine its 1 ) is the result number. The hotel rooms start at the 6th result. But start at A1. ( Im A1 ) i just hope its not to confusing haha. Anyway you can design your room! I dont make anything for you. The only thing i give you is a chocolate cake with strawberries on top with a note that says " Welcome to Starlight Apartments! " now results 1-5 are mainly chat rooms... just explore and find out. Enjoy! ~ Mariah room A1
