this book blew my mind! It was interesting to say the least and I couldn't put it down. I read the whole book in 1 day. I know women that have been in positions like this and at first view you wanna smack them, but if you sit and listen you can help them achieve and overcome. People like Racheal, become the best witnesses for Christ! Excellent story!

Great read. A little different from what I have read, however, I enjoyed it. I loved the way the story took you through her life and backed situations(good or bad) that she was in , with the Bible. Great book can't wait to red the new one!

I think this was a great spiritual book! I read all the reviews, then went to their pages and looked at other reviews. to Borg-Virgo008NN maybe you didn't like this because of the other types of books you read and one question to you, how do you know it's based off this ladies life story? kinda sounds as if you have a motive... js? I thought it was a great read with a lot of insight and if it is based off someone life, wow, I am happy to know you have been changed through the blood of Jesus and inspiring others to do the same! You are courage s to share a story like this with others, if this is your story, and I cant wait to read more from you! God bless and stay encouraged and continue to do what God needs done on earth even if some dont like it! Kentuckygurl!

The main character of this book just whined throughtout the whole book; it is supoose to be based on her life experience, but at no point does she take any personal responsibilty for the choices that she made for her life or that of her children. I was so bored with reading this that I was so happy when it was over, I felt like I had wasted my precious time in reading this book.

Great book! the character racheal in this story is an extra ordinary woman! She was faced with all kinds of issues in her life living in the ghetto with a mother that had issues of her own and couldnot pay attention to her children or refused to because of her own circumstances. racheal learned to survive quickly growning up but in this process of growning quickly the Lord was always there to protect her and shield her. i beleive this has to be someones real life testimony because when you read this story you draw into the charater racheal as if she's speaking to you through the pages. I love this book I understand alot that read it will have to lose themselves and forget about life as they know it in order to truly appreciate this woman's testimony. To God be the glory for this story!!!! OUTSTANDING BOOK!!!

The woman in this story trumiphed over her difficult life that started when she was four. I beleive this book tells the truth of alot of lower class black women. Not trying to be offensive but this woman dealt with alot of bad. The choices either she made for herself or others made for her. However when she encountered the Lord, and truly decided to follow His lead life for Racheal got a whole lot better. not only did she learn to forgive others but she also realized she could be forgiven from the Lord. Awesome story!

I would recommend this book to people who have a hard time forgetting and forgiving their past. This book has helped me with my spirtual walk. I could identify with racheal who the story is about. Her life was hard but she overcame with Jesus.

This was a very powerful story, detailing parts of life that many of us don't often think about or encounter outside of dramatizations on TV or the movies. It was a vision inside the thoughts of someone that was going through terrible times, having bad done to her and doing bad herself. And because of this, it makes a powerful testimony for others that may be going through similar torments as it shows that one does not have to be perfect or spotless to call on God. Just the opposite, in fact...the worse off we are, the more God delights in bringing us home.
