All Music Guide - Alex Henderson
From the Inside was hardly Alice Cooper's best-selling or most accessible album. An intensely personal account of his recovery from substance abuse, it tends to be one of his most abstract efforts and lacks the immediacy of Billion Dollar Babies, Welcome to My Nightmare, or Alice Cooper Goes to Hell. There are no rock anthems here à la "School's Out" or "18" and no celebrations of shock value like "I Love the Dead" or "The Black Widow." Instead, the singer honestly documents the way he confronted his demons and emerged victorious. Sometimes, this introspective effort is too self-indulgent and intellectual for its own good, but at its best as on "How You Gonna See Me ...

    Alice best album

Alice Cooper has always been one of my Favorites but this album is one of his best. Great guitar, lyrics and songs especially "How you going to see me now" and my favorite "Serious".

    All music guide wrong again:)

This album did indeed include another hit ballad,How you gonna see me now.A top 20 single in the US and i think in other parts of the world. It was a pretty big song for Alice at the time.

    This album rocks!

This is probably the single best from a long line of kick-butt albums that Alice has put out(the new ones are really good too). Dealing with some of the personalities that he met while he was instatutionalized for alchoholism. He shows that he can deal with any subject with his own unique blend of humor, shockingness & (suprisingly) good taste. If you can find this one on vynal, do so. Alice's early albums all have exceptional trick covers. This is the best!

    A return for Alice!!!!!!!

I've had this album for years and I have to say it's one of his best so far. From the opening track From the inside to Inmates (We're all crazy) Alice takes us on a tour of his own Psyche, and the nightmares he saw while fighting his addiction. This is a must have for the Die-Hard Cooper fan like myself or the perason who has just found what incredible music Alice Cooper has given the world in the past 30 years
