A Teacher's Dream -- Mr. Cook comes alive

As a middle school teacher, I have to impress on kids that there are consequences for behavior, positive and negative. Mr. Cook's honest description of his life as a student, teacher and writer show me (and my middle school students) that life is not a fairy tale. The language is direct but not obscene or profane. Adult issues about drug use are not new to 6th graders. Appropriate for classrooms above the 5th grade.
