One of the greatest fantasy books ever
From the Two Rivers An odd person named Moraine comes into the village of Edmond¿s field. Mysterious creatures attack a few days after she comes... Rand Al¿ Thor is a farm boy with a huge destiny ahead of him. It all starts when an Aes Sedai, Moraine, and Lan the Warder comes into the village of Edmond¿s Field and take Rand and his friends Perrin, Mat, Egwene, Nynaeve, and Thom on the biggest adventure ever. They fight Halfmen and Trollocs to reach Tar Valon so the will be safe from attack. They have had many twists and turns throughout this adventure, like Nynaeve showing up at the Stag and Lion. This is a book that I recommend greatly for fantasy lovers it is exciting and has many surprises. I like this book because of its storyline. It has many twists and surprises. When Rand is on his way to the village of Edmond¿s Field he sees a man on a black horse in a black cloak that is not touched by the wind. He sees this thing and tells his dad, Tam Al¿ Thor, about it. Tam says Rand¿s seeing things until all the other younglings are seeing the same things. Then Rand and Tam leave to go back to their farm for Festival and Winternight. Trollocs com to attack and Tam suffers a very high fever. He nearly dies. Rand drags him back to Edmond¿s Field and Moraine uses the One Power and an ¿angreal¿ to heal Tam. Before they get to far they encounter Mordeth an evil man over 100 years old. He nearly kills Rand, Mat, and Perrin. Then later on in the book the party of Rand, Lan, Moraine, Perrin, Mat, Egwene, Nynaeve, and Thom gets split up but Nynaeve finds Moraine and Lan, Thom, Mat, and Rand find a ride on ship when running away from Trollocs. Then Perrin finds Egwene. I also like this book because it is has very odd and exciting characters. Mat is very odd. He is always making mischief and causing people trouble, and he likes it. Then there¿s Rand. He is a very strange boy that blushes too much. He is always trying to keep out of trouble, except when he¿s in one of Mat¿s schemes. It seems he tries to keep calm about things. Nynaeve is a very stubborn person that has an exciting background. She is the Wisdom of Edmond¿s Field. She was trained by another Wisdom and now is trying to train Egwene to become a Wisdom. Egwene wants to be an Aes Sedai instead of a Wisdom and Moraine is teaching her. Lan is a Warder, which means he is a protector of something in this case Moraine, he has a black stallion, a color-changing cloak, and a sword. He fought off a Halfman. Moraine is an odd character she comes from Tar Valon with none of her Aes Sedai sisters to Edmond¿s Field to gather Rand, Perrin, and Mat because the Dark One wants them. I also like this story because the author makes it exciting not flat and boring. It is not a suspense story but Robert Jordan makes it go one way then another just like that. He makes it suspenseful. Rand will be about to die when he is saved. He should have been captured by Trollocs but wasn¿t. The whole party should have died, but then Moraine uses the One Power to protect them. Tam should¿ve died from his fever and being dragged but didn¿t. He makes it look like they will die but then they don¿t. Overall I think is an exciting and outstanding adventure about courage and evil. They make this book like any other fantasy story except more exciting and suspenseful. Robert Jordan is a great author 'too bad he just died. He never finished the series'. READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!
