I just finished reading this insightful book by Dr. Peters.  He explains with clarity how the Worry Monster affects us all, not only children, but adults of any age.  His easy to read style and examples of himself and his family bring home how we all have anxieties and the way to cope and conquer them is so within our grasp.  Highly recommended reading for all.

The strategies and practical approach that Dr. Dan Peters outlin

The strategies and practical approach that Dr. Dan Peters outlines in this book really works for my son who has school anxiety, and for my husband and I as we try to delicately help him to manage his anxiety. Sometimes we are lost for what to do and this book and approach gave all of us the tools we needed to help get through some rough moments. My son very much understood the description of the amygdala and how it sends flight or fight responses and that has tremendously helped him knowing what was causing his body to react the way it does. Thank you Dr. Peters!
