I took my children to Colorado on an 8 day adventure. Frommers provided the essential information in the perfect format. I loved the descriptions of the attractions and parks. I used several books to plan my trip including the AAA guide book. This book was my constant companion and better than all the rest. I would use other Frommer books to travel to other states as well.

I've appreciated Frommers travel books and their website over the years. The book is much more convenient than the web because you can carry it with you and look at it as you go. Good job on keeping up on all the things that change over a period of time although I do think the times that it estimates for how long it will take to get through an attraction are lacking slightly, you can't blame them because there's so much to do and see. Good guide for those Colorado people who aren't going for a total outdoors experience. If you're looking for trails and such, you may want to explore other avenues.

I will be traveling to Colorado in June 2010 and purchased this book to see what all I would like to do. I thought it was very informative, and just a great book to have around.

Average coverage of Colorado. Does not cover camping or good hiking. Fine if you're visiting Colorado from a hotel perspective but not as good for a road trip.

We picked this guide up in anticipation of tacking a family vacation onto a business trip. Guide was quite helpful in planning and choosing activities, local restaurants, etc., and kid-friendly ratings were usually good. [One mis-hap there; a supposedly kid-friendly restaurant was visited only to find top-less artwork decorating the walls. Of course, artwork certainly could have been changed between reviewer's visit and ours.]. Bottom line - family had a great time and experienced far more local flavor than we would without the guide, which is why one buys a travel guide in the first place. This guide was a good value for its price.
