In comparison to other Israel travel guides, Frommer's has left no stone unturned. It covers not only historical and cultural aspects of Israel, but provides extremely practical information as well. For example, there is much to be aware of when renting a car and driving in Israel that was not mentioned in their competitors guides. Other family members who have lived in Israel have corroborated the information in this publication, which gives me confidence that I will aptly navigate the country in my upcoming travels.

Frommer's guide to travel in Israel is pretty up to date and savvy of the current state of affairs in the country. The only criticism I might have of the book is that it tends to be biased toward the non-Jewish sites and attractions. Also, I found 1 phone number that was incorrect. Other than that, the descriptions in the book were helpful in assisting us to decide what places to visit and also what areas to avoid (Palistinian territory). The section that contains recommendations for accomodations is accurate as well.
