Meet the Author

Sue Robishaw is the author of five books and many magazine articles as well as being a popular speaker and workshop presenter. She lives with her husband, Steve Schmeck, amid much wildlife on their off-grid, northwoods homestead in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Their lives are full of variety and interest. A large organic garden and orchard is one of Sue’s passions as well as the source for most of their food. She weaves all of the pieces of her world together in a way that suits her belief in the joy of life and ever changing opportunities involving gardening, hiking, writing, watercolor, music, dance - and designing and knitting colorful wool socks for warmth and fun!
