Excerpt:
“Okay,” I said, drawing it out as I slowly headed to that hidden spot he spoke of. His eyes dropped to my feet when my new heels crunched and clicked. I felt something stir again, deep in my lower belly. A man who appreciated fine feminine footwear was so awesome. I wondered if he had a girlfriend. “I don’t have long, Daniel.”

I slanted a sultry little smile over my shoulder as I passed him. His eyes widened, and was that a boner starting to tent his tight jeans? I’ve never knowingly given a man a woodie, though I liked to think I have on rare occasion.

“No problem, beautiful,” Daniel said, following closely with a possessive hand on my lower back.

Talk about giving me a thrill! My naughty mind went wild. I don’t know if I was more afraid he’d make a move on me, or afraid he wouldn’t. He was so gorgeous.

The staging area was that piece of ground that would become the alley between buildings. It was lined with cars and pickups on one side, and construction materials on the other. I stopped next to a pickup with the tailgate down. The pickup's bed was empty.

Oh. Bed, I thought, my heart starting to race. It might be called the bed of the pickup, but it didn't look comfortable. Just dirty, scratched up steel.

Daniel moved up close. I couldn't look him in the eyes, suddenly feeling incredibly shy. He loomed over me, big and strong and masculine. I felt heat radiating off his buff, sweaty body. I suddenly felt half naked in my tight red V-neck top and black pencil skirt. A quick glance at his face revealed he was gazing hungrily down my cleavage, and as my eyes dropped I saw he definitely had a boner.

Closing my eyes and sucking in a deep breath to steady myself, Why do I keep getting myself into these situations?
