Children's LiteratureIf you are searching for a fast-paced, action-packed adventure novel this book is for you. Reading the first book in the series, On the Run, is optional because in book two the author brings the reader up to speed with information in the prologue. Fifteen-year-old Aiden and eleven-year-old Meg have a dilemma. They believe their parents are falsely imprisoned for harboring foreign terrorists. The Falconer children escape from a protective juvenile detention facility in order to uncover evidence to free their parents. Fortunately, the young fugitives happen to be wise and resourceful beyond their tender years. Aiden and Meg are desperately seeking a potentially-helpful CIA agent, Frank Lindenauer while being pursued by the police, FBI and a psycho assassin named Hairless Joe. The escapees board a duck boat and a sudden gust of wind blows the papers Aiden is holding. Miraculously, Meg is able to grab the only paper containing Frank's address. Portions of this story are far-fetched, but this makes it a fun read. What in the world happens next? Find out in the third book of the series. 2005, Scholastic, Ages 8 to 12.
