My Review:
Alex & Holly work in the same law firm- Holly's been there for years as a lawyer. Alex just took his bar and is new to the firm. Alex has had a crush on Holly but she never even gives him a second look...he's too young for her. But...Alex has a side business. He's the owner of Hunk du Jour, an internet dating site. When Holly signs up on the site, Alex creates Kent hoping to catch her interest without the issue of work or age interfering. Kent and Holly really hit it off via online chatting and one phone conversation, but at the same time Holly agrees to a lunch date with Alex...a lunch date that goes extremely well.
Holly is just looking for a bit of sexual fun, while Alex truly really likes her. He wants a relationship. She thinks that he's way too young for her. Then there is the added complication of the continued existence of Kent...or at least the idea of him.
I loved Alex. He was willing to do anything just to have an honest chance with Holly. He really, really likes her. Their sexual chemistry is phenomenal. She's aggressive and tough as a lawyer and he loves that about her. He's really smart. He started Hunk du Jour in college and it has done really well. So well that he doesn't have to work if he doesn't want to, but he believes in helping people and plans to do that as a lawyer in his own practice.
Holly...I didn't like her quite as much. To me, she seemed a bit cold in her dealings with both Alex & Kent. She was after only one thing...a hot young stud (or 2) in her bed. Of course, she does eventually see the error in her ways (this is a romance novel) and everything comes out okay in the end, but for me, it was Alex's character that made this novel work for me.
Overview
Thirty-eight-year-old divorcee Holly Burrows has had enough of battery-operated love. Prompted by an ad left at her law office, she investigates Hunk Du Jour, a website designed to foster 'adult connections'. After weeks of sexy emails and phone calls with surf hunk Kent, she's ready to test their chemistry in person. But first she has to get through lunch with her colleague Alex, a man with a brain as agile as his body. When their consultation ends with a bang, she barely remembers the man she'd lined up for dessert. Now she thinks she's juggling two hot young guys. How can she choose between her two gorgeous cubs--and why do they remind her of each other?
