After a three-year break from the spotlight, Brandy is back. Her third disc, Full Moon, is a heartfelt and mature work, fortified with a spiritual centeredness that only makes this pop and R&B star shine brighter.

Barnes & Noble - Tracy E. Hopkins
Brandy fans, say goodbye to the giddy, goody-two-shoes teen star of Moesha and Cinderella, and say hello to the sexier and more mature young woman she's become in the past three years. Perhaps the 23-year-old's growth spurt can be attributed to her hush-hush marriage to Robert Smith, one of Full Moon's producers -- to whom she dedicates several songs, most notably the heartfelt ballad "He Is." Wherever Brandy's drawing her inspiration from, she's never sounded better. Credit her vocal development to her recurring collaboration with hit maker Rodney Jerkins Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, who puts his stamp on the standout tracks "I Thought," with its off-kilter beats and Jackson-worthy harmonies, and the orchestral mid-tempo track, "It's Not Worth It," where Brandy sings in a higher vocal register than usual. In the S&M-lite video for the Jerkins-laced lead single "What About Us?," a braidless, leather-and-latex-clad Brandy stands atop a computer-generated hill of muscle-bound men and chastises a former lover with quips like: "Your words have no weight with me/'Cause you're counterfeit I see." But there's nothing fake about this new and improved Brandy. No longer trying to emulate dimming starlet Houston, with Full Moon this junior diva is poised to outshine and outlast her idol.

    Disappointed :(

I was disappointed in this CD. I only liked two songs Full Moon and Nothing. The rest had a sad mood to them. Some songs didn't even sound like her. I can't believe other reviewers enjoyed this one.

    THE FULL DEAL>>

Brandy couldn't have made a better come-back album than "FULL MOON"...to all y'all who love a good wholesome R&B album with some killer tracks and heart-moving ballads...this IS the definitive album to get! B-Rocka nails it all with the phat beats of "I Thought", "All In Me", "What About Us?" and "Can We" while "Full Moon" (which in my opinion rates as probably one of the BEST songs of all time) has enough potential to keep the lonesome lunar up all night. Do not miss "He Is" and "Come A Little Closer".. gentlemen, play these on ur candlelight dinner and your lady is YOURS..haha...ENJOY!

    Brandy's Back

I love this new Brandy album it is wonderful breath of air. So far this is the best Brandy album. Her voice is definitly better than its ever been, It not and will never be better than Whitney Houston's, but it is very good. I hope every album gets better and better and that everybody buys it.

    Brandy is really Back!!

"Full Moon" really proves that Bran' is back, and she aint going no where!!! "Full Moon" shows that Brandy vocals have really matured!! On solid ballads like "Nothing", "Wow", "He Is", "Love Wouldn't Count Me Out", you can really hear how she hit the high notes so well!!! On club-bangers like "I Thought", "Can We", "Anybody", "What About Us", Bran' questions her "X"/blast him/and shut's the door in his face...Nice!!! I really love all the tracks on this album, and I'm really lookin' forward to hearing a Brand-nu' album from a Brand-Nu-Brandy in a Brand-Nu Year...2003!!!!

    Not Impressed

This album was disappointing.Tracks like ''Full Moon'', ''When You Touch Me'', and ''Like This'' make her sound like a sex starved frat boy! He tone quality suffers when she attemptes to sound sexy, or sultry. The only way this album get 2 stars is for power balads like ''Come A Little Closer'', and ''Love Wouldn't Count Me Out''. Was Brandy experimenting with a little brandy?

The CD is So-So; More Impressed by Brandy the Person

Read the article in ''O'' (Oprah) magazine [July 2002]. It will explain Brandy's ''growth-spurt''. The girl has been through alot since her last CD. My heart goes out to her. In my opinion, this CD is like all of the rest: the singles (upbeat) released on the radio are the best ones on the entire CD. The fast songs sound the same and the slow songs sound the same. (Reminds me of Whitney Houston: (<<singing>>: ''Don't my songs all sound the saaaaaame'') The CD is too lengthy and the slow songs drag. I love Brandy the person. She is like the girl next door. At any rate, may God Bless Brandy and her new family!!!!

    ''I Thought''.......... is the ''B''ombbbbbbbbb!!!!!!!!!

It took me a little while to get use to the now so grown up Brandy, but the new Brandy is putting it down on ''Full Moon''. Her voice is stronger and tracks are jamming. She is really letting you have it on the ''I Thought''. I can't wait for the remixes. She gotta do some remixes. Especially on ''I Thought''. You can dance to ''I Thought'' all night long.

I would do anything to meet Brandy Norwood. I cry whenever I listen to her songs, I think of my first boyfriend Luyanda Dweba.
