Overview

Barry the Chopper, the psychopathic killer whose soul is encased in a suit of armor, has been captured by Colonel Mustang's troops. Fearing he will reveal the Philosopher's Stone conspiracy, Gluttony and Lust decide to kill him, using Barry's own original soulless body to track him down! Though Colonel Mustang has anticipated their moves and set up an ambush, Gluttony and Lust prove too powerful and easily fight their way through to Barry, who is being protected by Al and Lieutenant Hawkeye. In a terrible battle, a badly injured Colonel Mustang sacrifices all in a last-ditch attempt to stop Lust!

Editorial Reviews

Hiromu Arakawa extends her strikingly imaginative Fullmetal Alchemist series with this exciting episode. Psychopathic killer Barry the Chopper has been captured by Colonel Mustang's soldiers, but Gluttony and Lust are determined to track him down. Mustang anticipates their moves, but his carefully planned ambush fails to stop the invaders. A series that continues to raise the ante.

Fights ensue with Roy and his team, against the mysterious Lust, Envy and Gluttony. Right at the beginning the story moves in a fast pace. And go Roy! Also there are some interesting surprises later on, especially near the end that made me say, uh oh, what's going to happen next.

The best one so far in the manga series(And that's saying something!)! I'm a huge Roy fan, so this book was even better than I had expected. Beautiful artwork, gripping story. Hiromu Arakawa is a genius!

This series has me constantly saying this, but in the good way of course! Arakawa has so carefully planned out the series, tying it in with real life in every way possible, I just can't get enough of Fullmetal Alchemist! But I suggest you start with volume 1 before reading this, volume 10, makes sense of course! But I highly recommend this book to any Fullmetal fans!

I went out and bought fma 10 when it came out, and it was just as amazing as all the ones before it! You don't see a whole lot of Edward in here, (as Major Armstrong dragged him off to*I won't say!*in the last book.) But for all you Roy Mustang lovers, you see some intense fight seens between him and Lust! And unfortunately(at least for me, because i'll always be a fan of Edward) Al can now use alchemy without a circle! What will happen now? Oh, and a surprise at the ending! the Elric brothers' father has returned, but why? i have to say i absolutely LOVE FMA and reccomend every audience to read it
