Maria Ross is a prime suspect for the murder of Lt. Hughes, but we all know hew actually did it. Ed and Al also heads back to central  headquarters finding out the death of Hughes, both them and Winry does not find this good at all. In fact Ed blames himself for his death.  Once Roy mustang finds out about Maria Ross being a prime suspect he tries to find more info on this and soon leave's.  Later finding  out that he went to look for Lt. Ross and kills her by burning her to death.(or so we think) This is a great story  if you like FMA, you have to keep reeding all the books to know the whole story, but this book was amazing.

Ed and Al head back to headquarters and Maria Ross is suspected in the murder of Hughes. Some intense and sad moments. The ending especially.

Wow! Book nine, and, if I'm not mistaken, barely half-way (if that) through the series. Quite honestly, I've read the scans and raws ahead of time, so the cliff-hanger at the end isn't necessarily as much of one for me as it is for those good little readers who don't spoil themselves, although they get to deal with the angst of not knowing... This is where it gets interesting for me as a reader particularly because of the last chapter, which brings to light a whole new involvement with military and homunculi, as well as a few subtle points that I never really noticed before. Again, be patient. This volume is pretty good, and the next volumes will only get better!
