Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Nicole Peterson Davis
What is your favorite game? This spot-it challenge book contains 12 fun-filled photographs full of all types of play items and games. Chances are pretty good that you will find something familiar on each of these pages. Each photograph covers a two-page spread in the book. Additionally, each page contains a list of six objects to be found on those pages. Objects listed are simple, such as a black bear, four turtles, or a flying bird. The pictures are organized into different types of games and enjoyment (e.g., bugs, playing, pretend, beach). After the first twelve pictures, there is a list of eight more objects to be found in each picture. Finally, after all of these objects have been found, children can engage in an "extreme" challenge described at the back. This book is well done. Children will find hours of enjoyment playing the paper version of hide-and-seek. Reviewer: Nicole Peterson Davis
