I am a high school sophomore and I chose to read this book for my research project. This book was actually the best book that I have ever read. Amelia was such a down to earth person and it was great to get more background information about not only her but her childhood, family, and education. It made me happy to read about how happy she was to fly. In the book Amelia expresses the love and passion for flying. Not only did Amelia inspire me to follow my dreams, she also inspired me to be myself, and to be humble. Whoever reads this book will not be disappointed. I chose this book not knowing anything about Amelia, but know I feel like her and I are best friends. The way that the words are written makes it seem as if your there going through everything with her. The only disappointment I did experience was the fact that her and I were not friends in real life.

Just tonight, I devoted my life, at least my school life, to education and persistence, as well as the act of being on time and on schedule. I am, normally, unless I think one class is in the wrong hour, or I feel squeamish and, you know, have to go. I have already planned my first book report for this year, though I don't know how to set it up yet, but I have plenty of time. I have decided that this is going to be my first book report this year. I sti need to read it, but given the fact that Amelia Earhart is my hero, (ironically, I didn't even know who she was until fifth grade when I received a Sterling biography about her for finishing a reading program) I have a feeling that I'll 'fly' through it!
