The book is full of errors in text and wiring diagrams, the information is up to date, but too many mistakes to be of value to a learner. The Instructors manual and support is even worse. The pubisher knows of all the problems and could care less. Many people have gone back to what they had and rightfully so. I will sya with it because I have basically made all the corrections and let my students correct their books. This book with all its mistakes is not worth anything more than $75.00 CDN and NOT a penny more.

Exhaustively researched apparently, but poorly executed work. Absolutely tons of information yes, but presented in a boggling disarray guaranteed to confuse. Vague, obtusely worded with importand facts buried within convoluted paragraph structures. Importand formulas that need to be derived from fragments, not highlighted, bold or even out in the open, lousy 'technical' illustrations that do anything except simplify. By the time a third of fourth edition is out, this 'text' may have actually enjoyed the attentions of a professional editor, who might actually organize the layout..............and have had much of its content re-phrased by competent technical writers. The online partner to this text is a horrible jumbled mess, where some of the exercises actually require you to use the wrong formulas and submit the wrong answers in order to be correct !! The online questions ( english version ) are obviously written by someone with little to no grasp of the actual concepts, and seems to word the questions directly from his/her mother tongue to english by way of a pocket dictionary. You'd think the publishing house would at least farm out such an importand component of the finished product to a professional level company. I could go on about the frustrations waiting to be encountered by others within the pages of this paperweight, just as my entire class and myself have... Unless you're actually looking for frustration for yourself or your students you should avoid this juvenile car wreck and shop elsewhere.........or at the very least take a good evaluating look at an actual copy of it prior to spending the money. To think the book is endorsed by AHRI ?!?! Dollars changed hands here for the endorsement, not actual respect for the product. You are forewarned..

Full of good information, but also full of many, many errors. You can learn a lot from this book, but plan on wasting a great deal of time working around the abundant amount of mislabelled diagrams, context and textual errors.
