I enjoyed this read so much because there's something for everyone. Some of the stories in this book are subtle in their horror and erotic elements, while others are much more graphic and in-your-face, meaning that almost everybody should be able to find a few stories to suit their style preference. The stories do a good job of blending the two genres without relying too much on sex or gore, and have a kind of elegance to them that I haven't seen from many other writers. A couple of the stories actually gave me nightmares! Read this book if you want to be deliciously turned on and terrified at the same time. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. There are 15 short stories in this book. I did not know what to expect, but I too was recommended this by a friend. I never even knew that Erotic Horror existed, but I was happily surprised by the storytelling and thought everything was very well written. For me this book goes beyond what just horror is and what just erotica is, and creates a cool balance of the two. Each story stands on its own, having all the stories together makes for a nice collection. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I enjoyed this book a lot. A friend told me about this author and convinced me to give it a look. The author's writing style made me not want to put the book down. He has a way with words that brings a kind of beauty to the most dark, horrific descriptions, so that several times I found myself repulsed and strangely turned on at the same time. I'm on the hunt now for more works from Anthony Beal. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
