The book is very nice and the illustrations are bright and happy

The book is very nice and the illustrations are bright and happy. However, I am confused (and disappointed) that there is a child in the illustration for each of the featured parts of the world EXCEPT the one for Africa. As I read through the book, I smiled and commented to myself on how sweet the kids looked from the various parts of the world and when I reached the page for Africa (with the giraffe), I subconsciously scanned the page for the child/person, continued reading the book, but then went back to the Africa page and realized there was no adorable child on that page but there was one on all the other pages. There was, however, something that looked to be a small hut with sketches that resembled a face. So not only is the African child invisible in this story, the kids who read this book could possibly mistake the little hut-with-a-face as a child from Africa.
