New to the Nightfury pack, dragon-shifter Mac cannot understand the bond between his brothers-in-arms and their human mates — until the moment he spies Tania and the energy bond between them blazes to life. Driven by a primal instinct, Mac will stop at nothing to find Tania, to keep her safe, to possess her. Caught between the warring factions, Tania finds herself immersed in a world she never knew existed — and bound by a love stronger than time. With Mac, her safety from Ivar and the perils of the human world is assured, but still she is left with a terrible choice: forsake the independence she’s fought so hard to achieve and reclaim the life she loves, or abandon the man who now holds her heart.

Meet the Author

As the only girl on all-guys hockey teams from age six through her college years, Coreene Callahan knows a thing or two about tough guys and loves to write about them. Call it kismet. Call it payback after years of locker room talk and ice rink antics. But whatever you call it, the action better be heart stopping, the magic electric, and the story wicked good fun.

After graduating with honors in psychology and working as an interior designer, Callahan finally succumbed to her overactive imagination and returned to her first love: writing. And when she’s not writing, she is dreaming of magical worlds full of dragon-shifters, elite assassins, and romance that’s too hot to handle. Callahan currently lives in Canada with her family and her writing buddy, a fun-loving golden retriever.

*Ms. Callahan really is a wonderful and descriptive storyteller. I was captivated through and through.* ~Under the Covers
    4.5 Stars
I remember discovering Fury of Fire and falling totally in love with Ms. Callahan’s world of Dragons. I automatically started following her like a lost puppy (God help her) wanting more of this world. I am so glad it did not take her long to release Mac’s story. I knew it was going to be another great read!!!

After loving the heck out of Bastian (from Fury of Fire), I honestly did not think any of the dragons could top him. I mean, I tend to stay true to my first loves. But… MAC is just a hawwwt! He is tatted, powerful, confident, very skilled rare water dragon and a very swoon worthy hero. Have you seen the cover?! About 6 months after his turn, Mac seems to acclimate himself well with his new body and his new life. Not only has he become comfortable, he’s been well accepted within the Nightfury brothers. I have to admit, he is now my fave! Damn you Ms. Callahan for making me commit adultery with my fantasy lover.

Tania Solares (Mysts BFF) is an independent heroine, not a kick-ass one but definitely strong. She takes care of her sister, never asking any help from anyone. Ms. Callahan is consistent with making her heroine strong minded and does a great job doing it. She did it with the first 2 books and again with this one. I liked Tania for Mac. I didn’t feel like I needed to kick her ass or anything. In fact, they were pretty hot together! So I was at peace with her for Mac’s mate.

Ms. Callahan also did a wonderful job with the recap as she continued with the world building of this series. She had added a few twists and turns that made our Night Furies even more deeply connected with their enemies. New characters surfaced with family ties and we can sure expect more of them in the next few books. Ms Callahan also widens her world by adding more species and a new group to this world. I am very excited about this.

The cameos from the previous books are always what I look for in my PNR reads. Myst and Bastian, Rikar and Angela and the rest of the pack were of course there. The camaraderie is felt through their banters and during there battles. Forge is just so sweet and is in need of his own book. Wick and Venom’s relationship was very interesting to see. It’s obvious that there is more there, but what? It is possible that there’s a set up for M/M/F type of a relationship/book coming up?

My only complain is that there were scenes that had a slow tempos or too much narration. I love the interactions of the characters, the funny banter and I feel like there was not enough of it.

Ms. Callahan really is a wonderful and descriptive storyteller. Her imagination brings me out of my RL (real life) and into her world of dragons. I was captivated through and through.

Ms. Callahan's books are a fantastic mix of J.R. Ward & Thea Harrison. Just when I thought there were no good new paranormal series to read I found her. Not on Nook because I think she is an Amazon exclusive author. I don't even care that I can't get on my Nook. Her book is worth reading in pprint. Who would give an author 1 star just because you can't get in e-format...what a jerk!!!

Can't you see dragons flying in the air? Because I sure can! There's Mac and Forge, Rikar right behind them and the rest of the Nighfuries pack. So gorgeous!

Another awesome book! Mac was an intriguing character since the beginning of the series, it was so good to see him falling in love, this man that used to sleep around without any kind of commitment. Tania, of course, is the perfect match to Mac and their intimacy was so high.

What I enjoyed most was the rest of the book: knowing a little about JJ, Tania's sister, that struggles in prison; more of the Dragonkind culture; new dragon characters were introduced (and isn't Gage so gorgeous and a complete mystery?) and the plot thickens in Prague.

The end had me guessing and yearning for the next book and some developments/answers.

This is the third book in the Dragonfury Series. I loved it!

Mac McCord is the newest member of the Dragonfury pack. An ex-cop, his transformation began in Fury of Ice, after tangling with the magical blast of a Razorback. I liked this tough character. He is almost like an unsteady pup (albeit a dangerous one!) as he adjusts to his new life. He is a rare water dragon, but being new, his magic is raw and untrained, which chafes at this warrior's pride.

Tania Solares is a landscape designer, and best friend to Myst Munroe. I liked her "take no prisoners" attitude with trying to find out about the disappearance of her friend, but her feisty nature puts her on the Razorbacks' radar.

I don't know what magic these sexy dragons have over me, but these books seem to be getting better and better! The story is completely page turning! I must admit that I had to get this in audio too, because I just HAD to know how things were unfolding, especially when I had to do chores and couldn't read my Kindle whilst doing them! Mind you, it could be the narrators voice that got me too! Benjamin L. Darcie's dulcet tones brought the characters to life! It was nice to meet all the characters again, and to be introduced to new ones like Tania's sister, JJ. Although, there is one character that I could have done without - Ivar. The leader of the Razorback's is a cruel psycho, with a mad scientist vibe that made shivers run up my back!
We are also introduced to Nian, a dragon in the Archguard's High Council. He is new to his position, but disgusted with the current leader of the Council, and is looking to replace him. His story could be rather intriguing!
This story is full of action, danger and romance that has captured my imagination, and made me wish that these dragon warriors were really alive! The battle scenes were described extremely vividly and I could "see" them with ease! I cannot wait to read Fury of Desire and to get to know Wick and JJ better!

Coreene Callahan has written another fantastic paranormal romance. She is fast becoming one of my favourite authors to read. Her books are fast paced and flowed beautifully!

Due to the use of bad language and the explicit sexual scenes, I do not recommend this book for younger readers. However, I highly recommend this book if you love erotic paranormal romances or books with sexy dragon shifters! - Lynn Worton
