    volume 10 review

it was unexpected to me. Amboshisi living in a small town alive and good instead of how he was before he jumped off the cliff. I cannot wait to read the next installments when i get them. it is really good.

    The biggest fan

I love this series, i started watching the series in 1998 when i watched the first fy tape, with the 4 shows on it. This summer i started to collect the mangas which are the best, and i now have every single one in the series so far, and have the 1rst dvd. I loved this book, i read it many times. It's so incredible a secret that 'Amiboshi' has hiden behind his strange death. For anime lover and especially shojo readers this is a great series, one of Yuu Watase's greatest.

    Give it a second glance

One day Miaka and her friend, Yui, head to the libary after school. While waiting for her friend Miaka decides to get a snack, drops her money, and sees a strange bird. Curious she follows and eventually finds a book called 'The Universe of the Four Gods', along with Yui she is dragged into an alternate universe and from there love, jealousy, magic, and chaos ensue. So basicly this seires follows the standard Shojo shortyline. Girl meets guy, girl falls for guy, guy falls for girl, girl loses guy, ect. However, it is much more than meets the eye. Not only is the artwork amazing but the plot is fairly strong, unfotunatly it's alittle predictable. Still this is a great story, characters you can love or hate. A crossdresser, a fanged bandit, a monk, twins, a(in my opinion) Zena-wanna be, an evil demonic midget and an evil blonde tyrant hellbend on taking over not only his world but Miaka's as well! If you liked Sailor Moon, you'll love this!

A great manga for any Anime lover!

Number 10 was a great book in the series. I 've enjoyed this one and all the other books before. I know anyone who is intrested in Manga and romance will love this series with a passion. I bought this book the month it came out and am looking forward to the next one. This is clearly one of the greatest stories I've ever read. I'm looking forward to reading number 11 and hope that whoever reads these reviews takes advice. You don't know what you're missing out on!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY IF YOU'RE OLDER THAN FOURTEEN!!!

This book is only and exclusively for children. It is unreal, unnatural, totally predictable, and overly-dramatic. It is about a young girl, Miaka, who discovers that, surprise surprise, she is a special being who can help save an empire. She figures this out after getting sucked into a book containing a strange stupid paordy of the classic Chinese Fairy Tale. Then she is, surprise surprise, loved by the strongest, most cutest guy in the empire. Not only him, but the emperor himself! Not only the emperor, but later, the emperor's crossdressing guard. And then she's loved by a bandit king. After that, I believe, is a twin who was suppoed to have amnesia or something. Ah yeah, her friend is also trying to kill her because of some jealousy directed at one of Miaka's five billion consorts. And all the while...there are about three males left in the book who have not tried to fall in love with her or rape her or SOMETHING! That's becuase one is a monk, one's ugly so heaven FORBID he try anything, and one's,like, ten years old. Miaka is not only unbelievable, world-saving, and consort carrying, but she's remarkably stupid. She's so stupid at times, its hard to find her lovable. Her main beau is so perfect and gallant and righteous, you want to stab him to death with a chopstick. I give this entire series one star becuase there is nothing lower. All in all, if you're still ten years old and love a Cinderella story with fifty some prince charmings and ninety some well timed deaths, this is the story for you! If not, read something a little more believable and a little more mature. And something that's worth your time.

    Love the Series!!!

Fushigi Yugi is the best! It's all about this girl Miaka who gets sucked into 'The Universe of the Four Gods' and ends up in this strange form of ancient China. The artwork is fantastic, but the story line is even better! I wonder how Watase comes up with this stuff...=P
