    Yuu Watase strikes again

I started a little late in the game. I just now started reading F.Y. when there's 6 out already. I picked up Fushigi Yugi Genbu Kaiden because I was out of mangas to read and it really got me hooked. F.Y. is really good and there's a depth to the characters that makes you say 'oh I really like her/him.' The story has a really good plot and the characters are still growing so as you read, you get to watch them grow and maybe you'll find them easy to relate to. Watase's artwork is impeccable as always. Very enjoyable. From now on I'll learn not to doubt Watase's work. I've always enjoyed Yuu Watase's work but I was never into the Middle Aged stories but this one really caught my interest. This is a must read for all Watase fans and those who enjoy mangas.

    Yuu Watase does it again

Needless to say, Watase has worked her magic yet again, this time for Fushigi Yugi: Genbu Kaiden. This is a prequel of sorts to the super popular Fushigi Yugi: Mysterious Play. I love this manga. I belive it could very well be one of the best manga's Yuu has ever done. I can't wait for the next one to come out!

A nice beginning to a wonderful series!

The first volume of Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden was pretty good! The characters are all lovable, and there are still more to come! The only thing that bothered me was Limdo's name. It's really supposed to be Rimudo! Oh well! It was still pretty good! I can't WAIT for volume 2!

    better than the original

fy:gk is to me, better than the original fy. To me, Yu Watase gets better every series she writes. This book is about the preistess of genbu, Takiko. I like this book better than the because of three reasons. One: The art work has gotton much better (not that it was bad before). Two: She isn't exactly crushing on someone imediatly. And Three: The story isn't to rushed, it takes it's time explaining things that were no explained that well in the original series.

    Pleasantly surprised

I was actually not a fan of the first Fushigi Yuugi series, so when I saw this one while shopping I was less than enthusiastic about picking it up. I gave it a quick glance and was intrigued. After I bought it and read the entire thing I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The characters are believable, funny and very well developed. I laughed, I cried and overall was very entertained by this story. I highly recommend it for any shoujo-manga lover. It's definately one of the best. :D
