Meet the Author


A manga artist for over ten years, Yuu Watase's debut came in 1989 at the age of 18 when her short story Pajama de Ojama (An Intrusion in Pajamas) appeared in the monthly Sh?jo Comic manga anthology. Since then she has written and drawn some 50 volumes worth of different short stories and long-running manga series, including the fantastically popular Fushigi Y?gi, also available in English from VIZ. Her works have provided the basis for two television series, an OVA series, anime soundtrack CDs, and a string of novels.

    can't believe i love it so much

    when i first found this manga series it was by accident i was looking 4 the original fushigi yugi the mysterious play but i fell in love with genbu kaiden and this one is my fav. the way it ends is so amazing. Plus the relationship between takiko and limbo is so pure i can't wait to read volume 5.

    Loved It

    i absolutely adored this book. it has a good plotline with mystery, romance, and action. the end of this book was a cliffhanger, so if you don't like cliffhanger books, you should wait for the next one to come out.

    So AWESOME!!!

    This one is my favorite so far! I really love the ebding. and you can tell the Takiko and Limdo have a bigger relationship then just priestess and celestial warrior!

    Smooches yaaaah!

    Takiko meets yet another Celestial warrior in volume 4 and gets a kiss from Limdo. Of course right after that he goes back to claiming he hates her. The ending to this volume was shocking. It's quite a cliffhanger and makes me anxious to read the next volume. This story is pure magic. Yu Watase is one of the best manga writers out there. Takiko is such a marvelous heroine. Smart, mature, and beautiful, as well as very, very, kind. Plus everyone loves a girl who can fight as well as the guys. This is defintely an epic series.
