The Titanic was NOT built to test the book. It was built to face the White Star Line's rival, the Cunard Line. It it very eerie how Futility was written 14 years before the Titanic was built. Many events similar happned before the Titanic departed for the first, and last time.

The people that built the titanic should have been more careful and tried to avoid anything close to the titan, but everything is exactly the same. At least change the name. Take away the i and c in Titanic and what do you get: TITAN

The Titanic was built on purpose to see if the book would come true.

Strange book. It has tons of grammar errors, like bizarre typo's and incorrect words and language. I don't understand why it in print like this?? The plot is interesting and makes you want to finish it but all the errors are distracting and make it kind of hard to understand at times.

It is a very good book, but very weird. It tells the story of a ocean liner. Then, on a cold, April night, the ship strikes an ice burg. over 2,000 people are on this ship, about 700 survive. This story is very commen to the Titanic. It was made in 1893, several years before the Titanic struck and Ice burg. Both in commen, the ships were unsinkable. But guess what the Ship's name in the book was? The Titan!
