Overview

Karen’s strange new life starts when wakes up in a strange place, with a strange man, and wearing strange clothes. The image she sees in a mirror reflects an older version of herself. When she learns that she is no longer seventeen years old, but twenty-two, her family determines that she has amnesia. It doesn’t take Karen long to realize that the truth is much more disconcerting; she shifts through time. While she was five years into her future, an older Karen had taken her place as a seventeen year old. Although the shifts were never predictable, a frightening change occurs when they become new and unknown to even the future Karen. Not only is time behaving erratically, the lives of Karen’s future family are in mortal danger and only she can prevent a tragic outcome.

I started reading this book one evening and stayed up well into the night because the storyline was so gripping that I just didn't want to put it down. I finished it within a 24-hour period. The story begins with a situation so awkward and intense from an unexpected Shift through time, that I was hooked immediately. Definitely not one of those books that you have to read the first 60 pages before you can get into it. It is an easy read, well thought out, and very well written. The plot was tight

I went through this book in a few hours, I couldn't put it down. I love the idea of going back and forth through time and thought the author was very creative. I can't wait to read Melanie's next book!
