Futuresex/Lovesoundsby Justin Timberlake
If Justified was Justin Timberlake's declaration of independence from the world of boy bands, Futuresex/Lovesounds marks his arrival as a serious, cutting-edge artist. Rap producer Timbaland returns in a greatly expanded role -- he produced 10 of the disc's 12 tracks and even adds accompanying vocal flavor to the hypnotic breakout single "Sexyback." Throughout the disc, JT impressively asserts himself amid the clattering, electro-funk grooves of songs like the Prince-ly "Until the End of Time" and the "Cry Me a River"-reminiscent "What Goes Around….Comes Around (Interlude)." Like fellow former Mouseketeer Christina Aguilera, Timberlake has vocal chops that cut deeper than most, and he displays them convincingly, from his falsetto-infused workout over the synthesizer squiggles of "My Love" (featuring a seamless T.I. cameo) to his convincing rap flow on the slow-rolling Three 6 Mafia collaboration "Chop Me Up." And just when you think that Timberlake's main topical motive is lasciviousness of Rick James proportions, the Memphis native takes it down a notch and shows off his southern roots. A cameo by gospel superstar Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Choir on "Losing My Way," a sparse nod to crack addiction, gives way to the closing track, the Rick Rubin-produced "(Another Song) All Over Again," a heartfelt ballad that evokes vintage Michael Jackson. With Futuresex/Lovesounds, Timberlake has finalized his transition from wholesome pinup boy to mature man of pop.

I love all the JT songs in this CD!!! his music way too sexy... and he's also sexy! hahhaa
I didnt like this CD at all.. WAY too much sex appeal! I loved sexyback but the rest was just too cheesy! His first CD was way better!!
I love this cd! Its one of my faves, and I listen to Sexyback, Lovestoned, What Comes Around and Summer Love at least once a day! Justin is the complete package... cute, talented, smart, funny and most importantly...he has an awesome cd!!! I love it!
if i could i would give it no stars he sounds awful in Sexyback andi listened to it on line it is awful i hate it
Like most vocal pop/R&B albums, the single is the only track that 90% of the album owners listen to. That is definitely the case with Futuresex/Lovesounds. One of the reviewers was disappointed in this album because of the extreme amount of "sex appeal." I think that's a bit of an understatement. Music is art - a way of expressing one's self - but it seemed like Timberlake wasn't expressing himself, but his libido. I think he wanted to make sure we all knew he wasn't a homosexual - which makes this clear. But now most of us just believe he is obsessed with sex. The single, Sexyback, is an example, but the track has a great sound to it and is very addicting. But that's just about it. Don't purchase the whole album. Just buy the single or take your friend's album and rip the tracks from him/her. That will save you money and then you can keep what songs you will personally enjoy.
This cd is just simply amazing. I just love it. The songs have such a cool flare to them. I love the 3 singles and the song Love Stoned. Justin sings great falsetto. He's one of the best male recording artists in the business. If you don't have this cd already, buy it cause ya don't know what ya missing!!!!!
some songs were good like sexy back and my love but some were not
Most singers/songwriters go through the sophomore album slump but Timberlake breaks through with a great album, with production by Timbaland, who is one of the top producers in the business, recently producing Nelly Furtado's album. If you liked Justin's fist album even a little bit, go buy this album, it's definitely worth the money...
Truthfully, I am not the biggest JT fan, but after hearing that it was a great CD, I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. From the beginning to the end, I loved it! You can def. hear the influences from Prince to other great artists. Would recommend without a doubt!!!!
The only reason Justified sold was because people were expecting some NSYNC minus the 4 backup singers. It did a great job with delivering mainly due to production by Chad Hugo, not Pharrell Williams. This new album if you can call it that is creativity going down the drain with Timbaland and some other R&B "producers" as a floation device that deflates too soon. No one can come close to singing as good as Timberlake and 2 or 3 songs proves that and saves this album from becoming a completely boring experience. When he appears on JC Chasez's new album, it would be wise for them to stick with a formula that works.
Great songs, pretty voice, catchy beats-what else can you say? Using the end of the songs as sore of an interlude into the next song is good on some of the songs but not all of them. Tracks 2,3,4,5,6,8,10 & 12 are my faves. If only they had added guitar to "What Goes Around"-like it was performed on SNL in Dec 2006-that would have made it all the better. Maybe there will be a live album soon from the tour? But, this was money well spent!
This cd is awesome, I love every track. Timberlake has soul.
I've always been a huge fan of Justin, but I didn't expect the album to be as amazing(hence the headline) as it is. Each song has something special or some sort of surprise. It's addicting...in a good way. Buy it...it's definitely worth the money!
This album has some very sexual, danceable tracks. I, for one, love the single SexyBack and couldn't wait to get my hands on this album. I was also curious to see if he had evolved from his last album and after hearing Future Sex/Love Sounds, Justin has finally live up to his potential. Although he still allows other artists to influence his music (more Prince than Michael), Justin really has created a niche for himself and adds some nice transition throughout his entire album. The Prince vibe from the title track is one my favorite songs in this album. The song is really sexy and fun as well as "Sexyback." The next 3 tracks on the CD are some of the stronger numbers. "Sexy Ladies...."(70’s funk vibe), "My Love"(techno vibe), and "Love Stoned," (lots of beat and harmonies) are completely different from each other with different sounds that works out real well. Justin really shows his maturity with 3 solid slow jams. Out of the three, my favorite is "Until the End of Time,"(prince vibe) because he really throws down an R &B vibe in this one. "Summer Love..." is also great because it has a fun vibe with the attached song "Set the Mood" which is really short but sweet at the same time. "What Goes Around..." is a great track it sounds as though it came from one of the ballads on Justified as well as “My Love.” He gets down with 3-6 Mafia in "Chop Me Up" which isn’t bad it has great thumping beats and lyrics. "Damn Girl" with Will.I.Am (funk Prince Vibe) is another favorite due to the live band sound. Some of the tracks either end with a prelude or interlude which blend and lead into the following song very nicely. Timbaland and Justin clearly work’s well with each other. His songs will clearly be a standout on radio while others might blend in. There’s no need to write this guy off whether you buy this album or not because he managed to create another good solo album.
This album show just how much JT has grown up...I loved Justified...but I realllllly love FurtureSex/LoveSounds.
This CD is great!!! Love all the songs, listened to them online. JT did a great job on this album. Can't wait for it to come out and buy it! You should buy this album if you like his others!!!
This album is decent. It in no way compares to his first album "Justified" which was great for his first time out as a solo artist but it has some decent songs. The beats are a little too "out there" for my liking but it's worth the buy for a true JT fan.
I was disapointed in this album. The songs sound too much like the BeeGees if they tried to get all too sexy with studio tricks. It sounds like he stole some riffs from them. Is Mr. Timberlake trying to prove to us once and for all that he is not a homosexual? Don't buy this album is you are offended by sexually suggestive lyrics and questionably erotic beats. It will not have a good effect on your children.
Justin Timberlake is the only former member of a boy band to mature into a world class singer/songwriter. His new album is brilliantly produced and skillfully performed with excellent musicians and top notch collaborations with T.I. and Three 6 Mafia. When he performed What Goes Around...Comes Around on Saturday Night Live, playing the piano with an incredible guitarist doing an extended rock solo, millions of people who had not heard his music became instant fans.Chop Me Up and My Love are hip hop genius, and Futurex/Lovesound show that he can write almost any kind of song and make it work. His falsetto is sometimes annoying to some, but it's part of his style and it actually works on most of his songs. Although I'm not a huge fan of pop and rap/hip-hop, I couldn't help but to include him in my book The Bachelors Bible as one of today's most creative and inovative artists.
The title of the CD is Futuresex/Lovesounds... of course it's going to have sexual lyrics and erotic sounds, what did you expect?? lol I love Justin... although his voice can sometimes be a little too high, he's a great artist, and I love his music.
I was never a real Justin Timberlake fan...have to admit that. Inicially listening to SexyBack I was not convinced either. But after watching the song and his performance at the MTV Video Music Awards I was stunned...What a terrific show he gave there performing My Love and SexyBack. The he moved...amazing!!! Got a hold of the album and I LIKE IT!!! It is worth it people...
Coming from a boy band Justin has really found his own genre and style of music. This CD really shows his individuality as an artist and I really enjoyed listining to this incredible talent.
Justin keep doing your thing! If you love r'n'b music buy this album. Justin has grown so much since "Justified". His voice has so much depth to it. Justin really surprised me this time around with his vocal ability.
This album proves there is no such thing as the "sophomore jinks". It doesnt get any better. Justin Timberlake has done it again!! Great album!!! Keep up the good music!
