    Outstanding

One of the most haunting, loring and hair raising CD I have ever heard.. The music and songs on this CD is by far the best. Mr. Gorecki arrangements are just outstanding and Ms.Kilanowicz voice envoks such emotion that you deeply feel the passion in her voice.

Best recording of the Gorecki Third

I've heard three different versions of Gorecki's Third Symphony. This is by far my favourite. Dawn Upshaw's recording is wonderful. However, I think that Zofia Kilanowicz adds something to this Naxos recording as she is a native speaker of Polish. She is able to bring out the sonorous sounds of the Polish language more than Upshaw.

    YOU MUST BUY THIS CD

My mother bought the NAXOS r4ecording a long time ago when she went to Poland to visit my aunt. I had never really listened to it even though it had been sitting in our CD library for several years. I had remembered seeing my mother and Great aunt listening to it with tears coming down their faces and decided to listen to it all the way through. Now I can't listen to it too many times, although I space out my listening sessions, because the intensity of my emotional involvement is overwhelming. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.......if you haven't heard this piece buy this CD, Zofia Kilanowicz pours herself into this piece. NO offense Dawn Upshaw, but she blows you out of the water with her emotion. This is definitely my favorite recording of the piece!
