Overview

The Design Center is where it all happens: new worlds, new species are planned and built here, prototypes are tested, and the creations are sparked into life. Earth's greatest inventors, craftsmen and artists work here among the angels, contributing their skills and ideas. There's a great restaurant, too, with Saint Lawrence himself, patron saint of chefs, cooking personally for distinguished visitors. Among whom, one fine day in early summer, is Gaea, dining there in the company of Quant and saints George, Sebastian and Stephen--for the Lord's family is large and varied, and all its members are expected to get along together. Mostly they do get along, though Gaea has a bone to pick with Man, for he has treated her badly--very badly indeed. The earth goddess and her relatives decide to teach mankind a lesson; Quant, seraph and quantum cat, keeps an eye on them--for everyone's sake.

Book III of the Quantum Cat series

Editorial Reviews

Praise for Angelos, book II of the Quantum Cat series. In this sequel to Jerome and the Seraph, Williams tells a twofold tale of one priest stranded in the ancient labyrinth of Knossos and another struggling with his own search for holiness-with only a small but very unusual cat to guide them both. With its graceful hominess, quiet humor, and abiding faith, Angelos belongs in most fantasy, Christian fantasy, New Age collections.
