As the big day approaches, though, Ann's leg injury flares up. Time is running out and the two girls must rely on the most undependable person they know—or Sugarfoot will be sent away forever.

    Phantom Stallion Galloping Gold

I enjoyed this book, and series on the whole, as I like something like this to read just for the shear fun of it. It gives me break from all the newspapers and legal reading I do, and all the real world type reading.
The book is excellent for kids and I'm a big kid at heart. I love horses...and the writer sticks real horse facts and knowledge into her story...to make it realistic. The characters come alive...and you feel like they are among friends. The description writing is beautifuly done.
The cover is also beautifully done...the artist is a gem.
Terri uses alot of Native words from the islands and so I've learned alot from that too. And she creates a dictionary from the character's view with an easy to understand definition.

    SAM IS WAY BETTER

i'm sorry terri but i just can't connect with darby i've read the whole series and didn't like it that much. i mean it was a god story but i still like the phantom stallion series better. i miss reading new adventures with sam and jake and zanzibar and all the other characters. i used to can't stand reading but i read the first phantom stallion book and fell in love with it. i read every book in the series and feel like there should be more like you didn't finish the story. sam said this isn't goodbye. it's been like five years since you wrote number 24 how much longer are you going to make your friends wait? i can't wait any more! i've moved on to the avalon web of magic series it doesn't have horses in it sadly and, there still not as good as the phantom stallion series. i recommend the phantom stallion series to any one who is in love with horses. to me it seems like people have forgotten about sam and all of her adventures PLEASE IF YOU FEEL THE SAME AND YOUR WRITING A REVEIW PLEASE RESPOND.

    Hawaiian Horses

Out of all of the horse series that I have read over the years, both of the Phantom Stallion series are probably a couple of my favorites. The Wild Horse Island series is unique in that it is the only horse series that I can think of that is set in Hawaii. I don't think that many people even know that Hawaii even has wild horses (I know that I didn't until I read the stories!) One of the things that I liked most about the series was how much of the Hawaiian culture it portrayed. So, if you want something slightly different to read in horse stories, this is certainly a good series to read

    Amazing

This series is utterly amazing. I don't know if I'm over-exaggerating since I'm a huge horse lover, but even if you aren't...this series is awesome! Even my brother, who hates to read, loves this series!!!! Oh, and for those that are so excited for the books to come out, each book in the series gets released at two month intervals, so book 12 will probably be out in April or so.
