It was a good read. It had wit and charm and you really liked Lexie, even though she was a bit down on her luck at the time. When you first meet her she’s staying at her best friend’s brother’s apartment looking after his pint-sized dog after his sister calls her and asks if she could look after him and stay in Luke’s apartment for the time being, and she could start the process of looking for work and a permanent place to stay once her financial situation becomes more stable. Luke, for his part is supposed to be playing some match, somewhere so she’s a bit surprised when he shows up in his apartment unexpectedly and sees her in a sexy negligee. To say he was surprised would have been an understatement. He hadn’t seen her in seven years and even though he was the one who got away and broke her heart, little did she know that she was the one for him and she was totally off limits at the time. Anyway, they had great chemistry once they got back together. Lots of comedic moments worthy of an Emmy and even his dog got to steal the show for a bit. Definitely an Olympic worthy read. You’ll definitely enjoy it.

Sweet story about friendship and love...

Lexie was a bit out of sorts & her best friend, Dani, helped her by allowing her to stay at her brother Luke's house while he was away. Luke was the man of Lexie's dreams but also off limits. When Luke suprised Lexie by coming home early, they didn't know what to do. Their attraction to each other was strong, but they knew they had to to fight it. Either way, Luke asked Lexie to stay.
While the attraction continued to grow, Lexie continued to guard her heart. Their friendship has to be rebuilt and they have to get to know each other again. What they know about each other's past is not proving to be true in the present.
It is a short and quick read but fun and enjoyable.

Lexie Peterson arrives in London with no job and very little money. Thank goodness that her friend, Dani, needs help. Now she is dog sitting for her old high school crush, Luke Marchetti. When he arrives home unexpectedly and finds Lexie there in a sexy negligee, he is definitely interested. Even though he is her dream lover, she is determined not to give in to his charms. After all he's a player. When he asks her to stay and she agrees. The time they spend together is very romantic. They both realize what they've missed but the past still haunts them. Will their romance be for one night or forever? This story is short but so very satisfying. Lexie and Luke are engaging as is Mango (his dog). They are a perfect match. Gamble in Gold is a sexy romantic story. A perfect afternoon delight.

Gamble In Gold is a nice Summer time read. I felt that this romance should have been longer with more detail and background for the characters. It is a good story line that just needs more of the story. When they were teeenagers, Lexi was an exchange student living with the Marchetti family and was off limits to Luke Marchetti. Fast forward to today and everyone's all grown up. Lexi is still bestfriends with Dani, Luke's sister and Luke is still Lexi's fantasy man. Read this fun contemporary romance to find out if Luke and Lexi rekindle those long ago teenage feelings

One kiss when they were younger ignited a passion that lasted seven long years. But is it enough to entice the two to take a gamble?

Lexie Peterson is in the flat of the of her teenage crush Luke Marchetti.  It has been seven years since they have seen each other and when they come face to face Lexie vows to stay strong and not fall for his charm.  Luke will not make this easy on her.

Luke comes home early after an injury to find Lexie in a negligee.  He is ready to have a little flirt and fling.  Lexie is no longer the shy girl Luke once knew and he is realizing she deserve more than he wants to offer.

I have never read anything by Natalie Andersen before, so starting the book I did not have any preconceived notions about how it would be. I loved it! It was a quick read that I did not want to put down. You can feel the tension between Lexie and Luke from the start. The explosion is not unexpected, but some of the emotions are. Definitely a book I could read again and one that makes me want to explore others by this author.

Gamble in Gold is a captivating and enticing story about a girl

Gamble in Gold is a captivating and enticing story about a girl who had a teenage crush, and the boy she was crushing on. Lexie was a foreign exchange student and stayed with the Marchetti family. Lexie could not help but have a crush on Luke the moment that she say him.

Seven years later and Lexie stills fantasizes about Luke and the kiss they shared. The passion behind that one kiss has haunted her dreams for years. When she sees Luke again, all that passion and longing threaten to break through her carefully built walls. Luke does not want a relationship, he wants no strings. The intense chemistry between them constantly draw them to each other. Will they be able to resist temptation or will they both risk it all to be in each others arms once again?

I loved these characters! Lexie is spunky and determined and when it comes to Luke she is fierce and stubborn. Luke is a playboy that has his share of good times, when he sees Lexie in nothing but a negligee, he is determined to have her. The battle that these two fight is full of longing, desire, seduction, and love. This is a quick read that will make you hungry for more of their story!

So, today was another novella day. Todays novella is Gamble in Gold by Natalie Anderson. This quick read is pretty cute. Let's get started.

Lexie Peterson is down on her luck and decides to make a change in life and scenery. What better place to go to, but London. After all her good friend is there and it's a perfect place to make a fresh start. Anyway, she believes her friend's brother isn't in town so she crashes at his place. Change of plans and Luke Marchetti ends up home.

Luke pretty much throws Lexie off her game and she doesn't know what to do. While Luke is trying to figure out how to get into her pants and not hurt her. However, Lexie is a bit leery of Luke, because he kind of had a man whore thing going on when they were younger. The more time he spends with Lexie, Luke isn't sure what he wants anymore.

I must say the story is a cute read. The story mainly starts out these two characters rekindling a friendship. However, over a course of a day their relationship changes quickly and Lexie believes Luke is only after one thing. She would have been right the day before, sometimes the heart has other plans. So, if you are looking for a quick read with friends that could be more, you can give Gamble in Gold a try.
