This is a fun story that satisfies readers who love Victorian romance but want a good clean story. I highly recommend this story then. It is an interesting concept; Bonnie lost by her step brother to Lord Blackstorm in a game of poker. Read to find out if she spends her life working the fields like a "mule" or if her faith is able to touch the hardened gamblers heart.

GOD WORKS ALL THINGS TO THE GOOD OF THOSE THAT LOVE HIM What a beautiful story of love and forgiveness.  Bonnie Wurthington has loved the Lord and tried her best to live a Christian life, truly letting God's love shine through her in everything she does. Her step-brother, Con, is so jealous of her that from the time she came to live in his father's home at the age of five, he has tormented her and called her ugly. Lord Garett Rutherford has earned the name Lord Black Storm and he is known for his gambling and winnings.  Con's cockiness and believing he can beat Garett in a card game places Bonnie in the pot, along with everything else he has already gambled away, and loses.  What a shock later on when Garett finds out that Bonnie is a woman and not a mule he has sent to the family country estate. The plot was captivating and the dialogue was heartwarming. Sometimes we plant the seeds of God's Salvation and they are reaped later on.  Bonnie never lost faith that God had a special plan for her life.

Didn't mind the references to God, however when quoting scripture in a historical story I feel it should be as it would be in the days of the story and not the revised modern version. Jeremiah 29:19 in the King James version is not what you have written in the story

Bonnie has a problem. Her stepbrother, Con, has gambled away the entire estate to the Earl of Rutherford and at the last minute includes  Bonnie. To complicate  matters, Bonnie must move to the Earl's estate taking with her the six orphans that she has rescued  from an orphanage. What will become of Bonnie and the orphans when the Earl finds out their plight? Read to find out!

A sweet story of innocence.

The style of writing would have been very good at a junior high level. It did not seem like it was written by an adult or an experienced author.
