About the Author: Dr. John M. Eades is a former therapist and is a twenty-year veteran in the field of drug and alcohol addiction treatment, where he worked as Director of Chemical Dependency Treatment Centers for several major hospitals. He is also a certified gambling addiction specialist. He currently is a Pastor at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Shelbyville, TN. He has published 4 books and has written articles for Fort Worth Star, the Biloxi-Sun Times, The Mississippi Press, The Washington Post, The Clarion Ledger, and Christianity Today Magazine. John and his wife, Karen, reside in Winchester, Tennessee.
