This workbooks is not well advertised, in that it is very clearly intended for someone who is in Gambler's Anonymous and it is working for them. For people who are not a good match for that model, this book will likely be frustrating. If offers some interesting exercises, but overall it just rehashes the GA philosophy and has some underlying implications that if you are not willing to accept the Higher Power philosophy that you are doomed to failure. For someone who is in GA, I would highly recommend this workbook as a good supplement. For someone who was looking for something that offered and alternative model to GA, I was very disappointed that this book was not more clearly advertised/described.

Finally a book that I can use with gamblers. It's practical and teaches problem gamblers everything they need to know to stay clean. The field has been waiting for this book for a long time. I have used Dr. Perkinson's books before with great results but these are the best gambling exercises I have ever seen.
