Overview

Lauren suspects that her husband is cheating on her. That was until her parents had her brother come into town to investigate. The PI, her brother Noah, finds more than an affair. He discovered mob connections while he was following her husband around town. Noah had talked his long time friend, Kaden, into helping him investigate.
Repercussions of her estranged husband’s actions keep Lauren at the crossroads of sanity and madness. Fear would be her captor as she thought about the safety of her twin daughters as vengeance is sought for the murder of the mob boss’s daughter. Her life held prisoner as Noah and Kaden, her ex-boyfriend, keep vigil over the family as they strive to live their everyday life.
Plans for a kidnapping were discovered; written by her husband’s hand. A hit is ordered on Kaden’s life. Jerry is a master of disguise; a chameleon in his own right. He is keeping watch over his little family without being detected. He leaves hints on what is, and what will be.
Lauren watches as Kaden is shot in front of her house. She was informed that he was dead. Lauren was not aware that it was a plan devised by Jerry. It was when Kaden was taken away by the coroner that Lauren discovered that it was still Kaden that she was in love with.
Jerry and Kaden work out a plan to reunite him with Lauren without being discovered by the mob that was still keeping an eye on the house; searching for signs of Jerry. It is too much for Lauren to handle. Is it too late? Lauren loses her memory after she is kidnapped and tries hard to remember who she is and what has happened to her life.

Meet the Author

I was born the middle child of six children. I was the only daughter of struggling middle-class parents in Greensboro, NC. I graduated from high school with no clue as to what I wanted to do with life. College was out of the question due to finances. I dove into working two jobs because I wanted to be on my own. When I wasn’t working, I was reading. A true addict to books; I would read five to six books at a time. It wouldn't be until later that I would discover my hunger to write. That want quickly turned into a need.In 1994, I made my first attempt and was quickly told that I wrote like too many other authors. I placed the story in a file and put it away. I thought for good. In the past year, I found that the thirst to write was not buried. I had just placed it on hold until my children had matured enough to entertain themselves. I had again read every book I had, so I took out my first story and rewrote it. Now I have started on my thirteenth novel with hopes of many more to come.Titles include: Finding Gracie's Rainbow, Finding Annie's Dream, Finding Sammie's Fandsy, Life's Gfit, Lost and Found, The Game, Deception, Rainbow of Roses, and The Key to her Heart.

    great book

This book kept me interested. Where you thought you finally got all the end, there was an interesting twist. I am not a English major so the grammatical errors were not a problem for me. I have realized that a lot of the free books on Nook do have errors. so if you cam look over that, then you should read this book.

Time is valuable, don't waste yours!

This book had the potential to be a good read. However, the author tortures you with needless dialog. I had to force myself to finish the book. Don't waste your time.

    GREAT READ!

THIS WAS AMAZING!!! Outside of a few grammatical errors, this book kept me entertained. I did, however, think that it was a tad bit long. I think that it could have been two seperate books and it still would have kept me in suspense. All in all, great read.

    Proof reader needed!

Good story line. Too many grammer mistakes. People do not talk the way the author wrote. Needs a new proof reader. Wrong words and character names used throughout the book. Author gets wordy and could have condensed.

Decent for the price - but just okay

The book seems like 2 different books put together. It seems like just when the main story line is dying an entirely different one (that is completely improbable) starts. It doesn't make sense. The book need a really good edit and a clean review of typos and it would be better. The writing is decent though.
