*** some spoilers *** I was disappointed with On Demand, partly because the tension between Chase & Sophie was never dealt with. At the end of On Demand we're left with intimations that Chase is no good. In The Game we pick up with Sophie & Lloyd who are in a relationship and Lloyd sets up challenges that Sophie agrees to try in order to face acommitment decision point in their relationship. Some of the scenes are quite hot- the opening fantasy for instance. Others were just meant to be a bit startling and raunchy, and not particularly sensual or erotic. Maybe part of it is that I do & don't like Sophie. Embracing your sexuality is great but in this book, even more so then On Demand, she seems to just want to rack up a number count. That's just an impression but for me, sexuality doesn't mean sleeping with all comers. But not every episode is like that. But what I'm disappointed with is Chase. In On Demand he was this unreachable slightly older man that Sophie lusted after; he was mysterious with a secret then at the end ostensibly crooked. (Cop out, I think). Now he appears as a wealthy guy who owns a Pacific Island (from hotel manager in gambling debt to super rich guy in exile?) Just a lame ending to what was an interesting dynamic.
